There are two component parts:
Bridges to Learning
The Focus is on schools, community-based groups and voluntary/statutory agencies. It is designed to raise educational aspirations through a co-ordinated programme of projects. The strands of the Bridges to Learning project are:
1. Home School Family Links Project
2. Assistive Technology Disability Project
3. Science & Technology Teaching & Learning Centre Project
4. Community Campus Project
Connections Research
It aims to use existing data collected by institutions to determine participation rates in higher education in the disadvantaged communities targeted under the projects in the “Bridges to Learning” programme and carry out invalauble research in other specific issues. These will also help to share and investigate promising models of practice.
